In order to break the ice in both houses, Big Brother allots a time for 2 separate parties—a pool party for House A, and a Jacuzzi party for House B. Surprisingly, Big Brother’s plan immediately takes effect in House A; after a few shots of booze by the pool, the boys and girls of the said household finally find themselves somehow at ease with each other.

On the other hand, House B housemates are still on the rocks, most especially with the boys still acting pretty unappreciative with the unexpected switch. Inside the boys’ room, they couldn’t help but openly express their distaste towards their new girl housemates, most especially with the transgender Rica. And while pondering with the said thought, the said group of boys couldn’t help but feel envious of the boys in the other house. MANILA - United States Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton arrived in Manila shortly after 1 p.m. Thursday for her two-day visit.

She will hold a press conference with Foreign Affairs Secretary Alberto Romulo, attend the opening of a book fair in Marikina City, then meet President Arroyo during a state dinner in Malacañang.

On Friday, Clinton will attend a wreath-laying ceremony at the Manila American Cemetery and Memorial in Taguig City after answering questions in a forum to be aired over the ABS-CBN News Channel (ANC).

"Hillary Clinton, The Manila Forum" is set for November 13, Friday at 8 a.m.. ANC's special coverage will begin at 7a.m.. The forum will also be aired on ABS-CBN Channel 2 at 9 a.m..

On the eve of Clinton's visit, youth activists gathered at the US embassy in Manila to protest the Visiting Forces Agreement (VFA), which permits American soldiers to be sent to the Philippines.

American aid officials have defended the agreement, saying it allows US troops to quickly respond to calamities.

But demonstrators said no amount of humanitarian work by the US military justifies their continued stay in the country.

"The visit of Mrs. Clinton in the Philippines will be a mere publicity stunt, and the entire promise of the Obama administration -- that it is going around the world for a renewed multilateralism, and for the opening up of the United States towards greater involvement in the world -- will be all for a sham," said Terry Ridon, secretary-general of the League of Filipino Students.

Meanwhile, the campus of Ateneo de Zamboanga University (AdZU) is abuzz with talk about the visit of Clinton to Manila.

The Jesuit-run university is among two provincial schools which will be participating in a televised town-hall meeting with Clinton on Friday.

AdZU A.B. Economics junior, Mohammad Zen Nuño Johor, is one of the few chosen to ask Clinton a question, something he prefers to keep for himself for now.

But he dropped some hints.

A member of a prominent native Tausug clan, Johor said he would be interested to ask Clinton personal questions, such as how she juggles her time being a wife and a mother, and secretary of state of the most powerful country in the world.

Johor says he is honored to be able to talk with Clinton.

Big Brother highlights another set of violations this week; and as expected, delinquent Jason is once again part of the said bunch. Incidentally, Jason and Rica are caught committing the lapel violation in House B, so Big Brother punishes them by having a handheld microphone with stand tied between them all throughout the day in exchange for their lapels.

In the other house, Rob and Tom face the same consequence, since they are also guilty of the same crime. At first, they actually find the task hilarious, but after Big Brother breaks the news regarding their loss during the previous match, the smiles on Rob and Tom’s faces simply vanished.

Apparently, Big Brother explains that their loss was due to a violation that their group committed during the game. He elaborates that due to Rob’s intentional foul during the last round of the match, their win has been considered null and void. Upon hearing the said revelation, Rob immediately asked for reconsideration since he claims that the other team had cheated as well, thus making his action acceptable at some point. Unfortunately for House A, Big Brother remains unmoved with his final decision; and upon realizing this, Tom grows pretty upset, to the point that it actually takes a toll on his health.

Currently, Tom is confined in a nearby hospital where physicians are paying close attention to his poor condition. Unfortunately for him, the said event can actually cost him his stay inside the house since Big Brother has a particular 24-hour rule regarding leaving his house’s premises. Nagkaroon ng pagkakataon ang PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) na makausap ang aktres na si Cristine Reyes sa set ng pelikulang Ang Darling Kong Aswang, na official entry sa 2009 Metro Manila Film Festival. Si Cristine ang gumaganap na leading lady ni Vic Sotto dito.

Kasalukuyan pa ring palabas sa mga sinehan ang pelikula nila ni Richard Gutierrez na Patient X. At ngayon ay ginagawa naman niya ang Ang Darling Kong Aswang. Kasama rin siya sa remake ng 1988 Viva Films movie na Working Girls.

Toni Gonzaga finally did her first onscreen kiss that she shot for her latest movie, Ang Tanging Pamilya, which also stars former president Joseph Estrada, Ai-Ai de las Alas, and her leading man Sam Milby. The actress-host revealed that it took a lot of convincing before she finally agreed to do the kiss. “Hindi naman talaga ako nagki-kissing scenes, kaya lang sabi kasi nila sa akin, nina Ms. Malou Santos (Star Cinema managing director) (and people from) Star Cinema, ‘Hija 25 (years old) ka na.’ Matanda na raw ako,” Toni shyly recalled.

She explained that she finally said yes since her veteran co-stars, Erap and Ai-Ai, did not complain about having to do a kissing scene themselves. Toni also said that the kiss was necessary since she and Sam were supposed to portray newlyweds.

However, she appeared uncomfortable when press people asked how she felt when she and Sam had to kiss for the camera. “Gusto ko nang matapos agad,” Toni said with a laugh. “Kasi hindi ako komportable, eh. Kasi maraming tao. Daming cellphones, daming kumukuha [ng pictures].“ She said that they had to re-shoot the wedding scene because during the first take, she and Sam were only made to look as if they had kissed. “Kasi usually naman mga kissing scenes ko talaga daya, kahit kami ni Sam. Inulit talaga ‘yon kaya nagkaroon kami ng one-day shoot. Malaking factor sa akin ‘yung i-consider na mag-kissing scene sa isang pelikula. Talagang it took me how many people to convince me talaga. Pero right now, that’s the farthest I can go, [a] smack.” Toni also made it clear that while future projects might require her to do more kissing scenes, she won’t be doing anything be torrid. “Hindi ako pwedeng mag-daring,” she said.

Toni clarified that she has no regrets about doing the kissing scene, but admitted that she felt uneasy since it was her first time. “Natatakot ako kasi hindi nga ako sanay na ginagawa ko ‘yon.” Although she informed her boyfriend Paul Soriano about the scene, Toni clarified that she did not need to seek his approval. “Alam naman niya ‘yun. Wala naman siyang sinasabi tungkol sa trabaho. Hiwalay kasi ‘yun, eh. Alam niya ‘yun.”

Meanwhile, Toni confirmed that she will be included in the second batch of celebrities to appear in Sen. Noynoy Aquino’s music video campaign and explained that she chose not to appear in the first version out of respect to co-star Erap Estrada, who has announced his intention to run for president in the 2010 elections. “Sabi ko nahihiya ako in respect kay (former) president Erap bilang katrabaho at bilang ama ko sa pelikula.”

Jampacked at punong-puno hanggang sa bleachers ang Big Dome at kitang kita mong lahat ng mga nanood ay excited. Maagang nagsiputan ang mga tao sa venue at talaga namang punong puno at walang bakanteng upuan kang makikita. Full support ang mga Popsters at fans ni Sarah na binigyan talaga ng Viva Management ng front row exclusive seats para mas ma-feel ni Sarah ang suporta sa kanya ng mga fans at true enough, hindi naman siya binigo ng mga ito. Kahit ano pang kantahin ni Sarah, todo bigay at sayaw ang mga fans niya.

Mixed reactions kami sa naturang concert pero undeniably, napaka-flawless na tinig ni Sarah. Kahit anong kantahin niya, dance song, ballad o may pagka-R&B, talagang walang kupas ang kanyang boses. Maganda sana ang opening pero useless ang pinamigay nilang 3D glasses. Pinagamit lang ang glasses para sa countdown bago magsimula ang opening. Napakasimple lang, at mukhang nagkapalpak pa sa audio ang opening number, dahil halos di marinig si Sarah at yung boses ng mga back-up singers niya ang naririnig! Medyo palpak din ang video wall ng naturang concert na siyang nagsilbing major backdrop ng kanyang stage.

Interesting ang mga kinanta ni Sarah lalo na ang mga lovesongs at theme songs ng mga pelikula at album niya. Nagkaroon din siya ng mahabang segment dedicated to all the sponsors, wherein she sang all the jingles. May intermission number din kung saan kumanta si Sarah with the newest young Viva Pop group na "Pop Girls" at kinanta nila ang "Nobody". May Michael Jackson medley rin na kinanta si Sarah. Special guest din nung gabing iyon si Christian Bautista kung saan kumanta sila ng Regine Velasquez-Jose Mari Chan classic na "Please Be Careful with my Heart".

And speaking of Regine, touching moment talaga ang pagbati ni Sarah kay songbird na nandoon sa audience area malapit kay Boss Vic del Rosario ng Viva. Nilapitan ni Sarah si Regine nang kantahin nito ang "You Changed my Life" at nagpasalamat. Nagulat ang lahat ng ibigay ni Regine ang kanyang mamahaling pearl necklace kay Sarah. Nagpalakpakan ang mga tao at yun na ang naging hudyat ng pagkokorona ni Regine kay Sarah bilang the "biggest OPM singer" ngayon. Tanging si Sarah na lang ang nakakapuno ng Araneta Coliseum hanggang sa bubungan, at dahil dito, tuwang-tuwa si Regine. Marahil, naaalala ni Regine ang kanyang mga kapanahunan noong nagsisimula pa siya.

Manny Pacquiao’s display of energy and stamina during his training in the U.S. further reinforced the popular belief that he would bring home his seventh world boxing title after his welterweight fight versus Puerto Rican Miguel Cotto. Even the students of Los Angeles High School couldn’t help but come by their track oval just to catch a glimpse of Manny who ran for a while before he proceeded to his last sparring session with Mexican Raymundo Beltran last Monday, November 9. “He’s going to win this match. The cat’s in the bag,” said his avid supporters.

Many went through more than 150 sparring sessions throughout preparations for this much-awaited face-off on November 14 at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. “Ang condition ko ngayon ready to fight na. It’s all set,” Manny happily exclaimed in an exclusive interview with ABS-CBN sports journalist Dyan Castillejo. His head trainer Freddie Roach also confirmed that he already perfected his winning body jabs during their mitt session that same day. “The body is a good place to kill somebody and bring him down. [My prediction regarding this game] is knockout, same as always,” he beamed.

By 5 pm, a customized bus carrying Manny’s troop of supporters (Team Pacquiao) was already on its way to Las Vegas together with Manny who was riding with his wife Jinkee in his Lincoln Navigator. Certified record-breaking hit ang naging concert ni Sarah Geronimo noong Sabado, November 7 sa Araneta Coliseum kung saan punum-puno ng mga taga-suporta niya ang nasabing venue. All-out support din ang mga showbiz friends ng Pop Star Princess gaya nina Anne Curtis, Rachelle Ann Go, Christian Bautista, Iya Villania, at marami pang iba. Malaking sorpresa naman para kay Sarah ang pagdalo ng Songbird na si Regine Velasquez na nanood ng nasabing concert.

Ipinaabot naman ng singer ang kanyang pasasalamat sa patuloy na pagsuporta sa kanya ng kanyang mga fans. “Thank you very much for making this a record-breaking event sa akin pong career, sa akin pong journey in this business. Maraming-maraming salamat po sa pagmamahal ninyo at mahal ko rin po kayong lahat,” sabi ni Sarah.

Kung happy si Sarah sa turn-out ng kanyang concert ay obvious namang hindi siya natutuwa sa mga intriga na ikinakabit sa kanilang dalawa ni Gerald Anderson sa planong paggawa nila ng pelikula. Nilinaw ni Sarah na nauunawaan niya ang reaksyon ng mga taga-suporta niya at mga taga-suporta ng tambalang Kim Chiu-Gerald Anderson. “Masyado nang maraming nasasabing hindi maganda sa amin,” simula ni Sarah sa panayam sa kanya ng The Buzz. “Naiintindihan ko lahat ‘yung mga fans ng Kimerald wala sa akin ‘yon. Hindi ko po kasi ipinagpipilitan ang sarili ko na makaperaha si Gerald. Wala na tapos na po. Ako na po ang nagsasabi na itigil na po natin kasi hindi maganda ang nagiging resulta, huwag ipilit.”

Pinuri naman ni Boy Abunda si Sarah dahil mas gusto ng nasabing singer na hindi magkaroon ng gulo at mas makabubuting huwag na lamang matuloy ang tambalan nila ni Gerald kung marami rin naman ang hindi magkakasundo dahil doon. Inihayag din ng host ang kanyang paghanga kay Sarah dahil sa pagmamahal nito sa kanyang trabaho. “Despite her success she has remained a good girl and close to her family,” paglalarawan ni Boy. “Maraming beses kaming nagkakasalubong sa labas na kasama ang kanyang pamilya. ERAP AT KRIS NO POLITICS MUNA!

Matapos maudlot ang kanyang paglabas sa The Buzz noong mga nakaraang Linggo ay natuloy na ring mag-guest si former president Joseph Estrada sa nasabing talk show kahapon bitbit pa ang P1 milyon bilang donasyon niya sa Sagip Kapamilya mula sa kanyang talent fee sa paggawa ng pelikulang Ang Tanging Pamilya.

Ipinaliwanag din ni Erap na inspirasyon niya si Kris Aquino upang mag-donate dahil naging puspusan din ang ginawang pagtulong ni Kris para sa mga nasalanta ng bagyo.

Naging madamdamin din ang paghaharap ni Kris at ni Erap dahil pinagusapan nila ang kanilang mga alaala kay dating pangulong Corazon “Cory” Aquino. Ikinuwento ni Erap kung paano humingi ng advice sa kanya si Tita Cory kung papayagang mag-artista si Kris noon.

Sa puntong ito ay naluha si Kris at nagpasalamat kay Erap dahil sa kabutihang ipinakita nito sa kanyang pamilya. “I will never forget po all the kindness na pinakita n’yo po sa mom namin,” paliwanag ni Kris. Idineklara rin ni Kris na ang relasyon ng kanyang pamilya at sa pamilya ni Erap ay beyond politics. “Every time kasi na nagtatanong tungkol sa pulitika, sa mga aquino at mga Estrada wala nang puli-pulitika kasi po naparamdam n’yo sa amin na mahal n’yo ang mom namin at ipinaramdam n’yo po na nandun kayo. So kung anuman ang mangyari po ‘di ba, alam n’yo po mahal namin kayo.”

Sinang-ayunan naman ito ni Erap at ipinaliwanag na mataas talaga ang respeto niya sa yumaong Tita Cory. “Hindi lang pagmamahal at ang paggalang ko sa ating dating pangulo, ganun na lamang ang respeto ko at paggalang,” ani Erap. “’Yung atin naman ngayon, ‘yung pagmamahal ko sa inyo, lalo na ngayon ulila na kayo ang pagmamahal ko sa inyo is beyond politics.” Very thankful naman si Kris sa pahayag na ito ni Erap at sinabi niyang naniniwala siya sa pahayag ng dating pangulo.

Samantala, magbubukas na sa sinehan ang comeback movie ni Erap na Ang Tanging Pamilya sa Miyerkules November 11 kasama sina AiAi delas Alas, Toni Gonzaga at Sam Milby. Ang movie mula Star Cinema ay may premiere night din sa Nov 10 sa SM Megamall.
